Politicians did this? Don't politicians sort of lie for a living? Where were all those Christian bakeries refusing to sell cake to sinners? Hmm... it's almost like they don't actually care about their religion at all.
These politicians who claim to act "in the name of God" are appealing to the worst voter elements in Texas. Their "celebration" will be short-lived.
I am Glad he is embracing the Will of God and applying scripture as a way of life. It is working because deep down people do listen to their inner thoughts and ask critical questions of Faith.
