I guess the only way we can have a real tough press is to have a Republican in office.

Hypocrite does come to mind. When the shoe is on the other foot!

Obama's reaction was indicative of a very insecure leader. If he was secure in his leadership position he would answer the question without the parental overtone.

Son, you should know better than to do drugs...

I feel that while the Obama Administration has the upper hand on this, they should have asked for those prisoners to be released as part of the deal, and feel it was a big mistake. Those men are sitting in some prison that is so unlike ours here, they are terrible places to be.

and I felt the President was backed into a corner that he was unable to get out of...didn't know what to say, the reported was correct in asking that question...

Agreed, But we have an utter lack of leadership in the Whitehouse.
We elected a CIC who never had one ounce of executive decision making experience.

There you go, I agree, trying to figure out the right words, and you just did.

The response whether others agree or not, is from a very insecure in mature person. When your a very secure person, you show leadership in how you handle any question. His feelings are known.

Oh now lets put the shoe on the other foot shall we, if the other side was asking this question, well we all know don't we.

I agree with you, but we have to remember, he has advisors, and Kerry was there, also, so?
I'm not advocating Obama's choice....by any means, but don't you think he would have had advisors telling him what to do? Unless he just chooses to not listen to them which wouldn't surprise me.

The president responded in a perfectly acceptable manner.
The reporter phrased the question badly and got exactly the response he deserved.

I think the advisors would not have told him not to speak in that tone. It was an off the cuff reactionary response. In a way I am glad it happened so we can all see what a deuchebag this President can be (as if we did not already know).
