Major WHO?

Obama just defended his position , never mentioned anything about the prisoners.. this speaks volumes of how Obama thinks of himself only.. He does everything for political reasons , not what is right FOR THE PEOPLE.

Obama is the most power hungry person I ever saw in the White House. It is ALL ABOUT HIM AND HIS IDEOLOGY not what is right for American people .

The problem is, the media that created him has handled him with kid gloves for the last 7 years, refusing to answer ANY difficult questions, and make up excuses for him. Which left him completely unprepared when a reporter actually did his job and asked an obvious question.

This quasi president was caught off guard because he did not think anyone would dare question him on this. The reporter was in his place, called upon by Obama to ask his question. Surprise, surprise the reporter did not ask a scripted question and thin skinned Obama reacted badly and rudely. And you excuse an action you would condemn by others. Typical.

better? You have a strange sense of insecurity.
The president is insecure because all he had to do was answer the question and not reveal himself to be the azz he is.

I think the reporter asked the question incorrectly. I think that conscience of the nation was a dramatic thing to say. He could have phrased in much better so Obama could not edit it to the question he wanted.
McNamara said do not answer the question that was asked but ask the question that should have been asked.

Later in that news segment the reporter adds more to his intent. If instead of being dramatic he had brought up why the prisoners were not part of the negotiations then that would be more telling.

Look as a leader you have to sacrifice the few for the many. That really is how it is. Foreign Relations with a hostile country is war without visible violence but there are still battles and casualties.

I do not like Obama one bit but we really do not know what the negotiations were about behind closed doors on the US side or when or delegates met with the Iranians.

Major Garret did his job, which was to ask a question and make sure the American people heard the reply.

Now, everyone has heard the reply. If the question had been worded in a more Obama friendly way, we would not be talking about it.

You think Garrett was surprised at the outburst from the Boy President? No. He counted on it.

Well at least he didn't flap his lips and go "butbutbut...Buusshhh" this time.

Are these prisoners free, being talked about in an effort to free them, or mentioned by the Iranian government? That would be an indication that they were never mentioned in these dictate from Iran.

Obama is definitely thin skinned.

Of all the times over the past month that Iran has demanded new changes and concessions be made, of all the new things they demanded be put on the table or taken off the table, Obama never thought to say fine, then if you want us to concede on XY and Z, then you need to free our citizens.

Major Garrett to Charlie Rose a few days ago: “What I wanted to drive at, aggressively, was why, in a context when the president conceded many times in that press conference that choices had to be made and priorities had to be established, these four Americans were not prioritized in the context of the Iran deal,” Garret said. “This administration has struggled with [this issue] and personally, and I’ve done soul searching about whether I’ve been aggressive enough on behalf of hostages overseas.”

The reply from Garrett's question was that he had visited with some of the American prisoners' family(ies?) as if that is the benchmark of actively trying to get them released from Iran. When Burghdahl-sp? was traded for five terrorist leaders, it's unclear if Obama visited with that family BEFORE the 5 terrorists were traded for the single American.
