How difficult would it be for Americans to demand that bills be reduced to a single issue and voted on by itself, on its own merits, without 1000 pages of pork thrown in?

Too simple and makes too much sense to ever happen?

But if they only do single topics, what issues will they use to gloss over some BS? They'd actually have to talk about the bill for what it is. This level of honesty does not come naturally to a politician. It's an abomination to seek to defile nature in such a way.

It is a shame that in this country we all just talk about the blatant dishonesty and corruption and are resigned to "we can't do anything about it".

What is no one voted. I mean that sincerely. What if both major parties brought up two people who just embodied everything that's bad about their respective party and the political process in general and everyone just agreed to not vote. Or the overwhelming majority refused to vote. What would happen?

It's hard for us to do anything because our list of 'unalienable rights' is getting smaller and smaller. As George Carlin put it, they're not rights; they're privileges. If they can be taken away, even if it's by "due process" it's a privilege. As far as I'm considered, our rights are basically gone completely and the privileges we once had are on their way out as well.

I've always held that the most important rights are hardly even talked about, aside from one. Those rights being the right to thought (which we'll say is included in freedom of speech), life, and a vote. Yes, a vote. A government that has the power to take away a vote has too much power.

Omnibus is the name of the scumbag political game.

Quite frankly the only way this country will change its current trajectory another violent and bloody revolution.

Until then enjoy the ride on the the crazy train.
