This was pretty pathetic...she just blibbered out every conservative talking point we've heard over the past few years and trying to put her own "millennial" spin on it.
Her facts are debatable at best, outright laughable to any one with a thorough knowledge of political economy or world government systems.
Pretty much after every point you could hold up a Swedish flag and then briefly correct her about how socialist Sweden is happier, better educated, higher GDP per capita, higher average wage, minimal wealth inequality, etc...
She's young. Instead of hanging out at CPAC she should be traveling the world and learning about our amazing world.
She made a handful of decent points, alongside a menagerie of the usual conservative points. Her overall point was pretty incoherent. She kept droning on about how she wants people to think, but really she just wants people to vote Republican. It was the usual partisan drivel. People who think for themselves don't need an ideology to stick to.
Frankly, she's not an amazing public speaker. Many of the same transition words, I noticed that. Over use of certain words annoys to no end. I wouldn't say this goes anywhere near 'evisceration.' But I've noticed that type of hyperbole on this site and well... just the media in general. It's always someone getting 'slammed' or 'destroyed' or whatever ridiculously exaggerated word is used to describe a pretty unexciting happening.
I'm kind of intrigued - what did she say that hasn't been said thousands of times before for decades going back to early 20th century? Was it just that it came from a young, hot blonde that made you think she eviscerated anyone?
It's just the standard "red meat" talking points and that extreme conservatives eat up, but nothing really new or interesting. I guess I don't understand the allure of CPAC - it's just a string of people saying the same things over and over. How excited can you get after a while?
She even said she's a "Mitt Romney girl". She certainly got off on the wrong foot. Fox News tends to use hot blondes to deliver their message. Genuinely curious - do you know why their audience wants political views from that demographic? Is it the Texas cheerleader motif?

I agree with you about that. Even though I am Conservative, starting off by stating, "I'm a Mitt Romney girl" makes me wonder just how much you actually know about politics.
I didn't hear a lot of original thought in this clip. As others have stated, I heard a lot of the same talking points that I see all over the internet by Republicans. I want something original. Use an original voice, original thoughts, original ideas. Parroting what you see on forums and in comment sections does not, to me, eviscerate anyone.
I'm glad that she's young but sees that nothing actually is free, I'm glad that she understands that some policies are nothing but political posturing, I'm glad that she isn't one who is expecting that anyone gives her things or pays her way....but eviscerate?
I did not see that. I saw a lot of insults, which didn't make her look good. (I do that on this forum, mainly because I don't take much on this forum seriously, but I'm not standing at CPAC...how you present yourself there should be more professional.) And I hate to say it, because I do believe that she's at least on the right track, I did see a lot of arrogance there, too. I don't like that smugness from anyone, I don't care who they vote for.
"Let me say, from my little sheltered town somewhere that doesn't see real dynamics of national economics, ecological destruction, or global politics..."
I'm a rather independent millennial and I'd debate her any time on so many of these issues. I can't stand Obama (or Bush, or Clinton, or Bush), but she did not "eviscerates Pres. Obama and the left" just because she gave a speech to a receptive audience.
