It seems like those who celebrate southern heritage tend to only celebrate 4 particular years (1861-1865). You never see them celebrating Nat Turner Day. Nat was a Southerner who died fighting for freedom. A true hero.

I just don't care anymore. Blacks seem to support whites being harassed by having their flags stolen from their private property, desecrating graves and monuments, so I just don't care anymore. It's called karma.

There is no reason to be 'ashamed' of your 'race'. On the other hand, there is little reason to be 'proud' of your skin pigmentation (or race). It is like saying "I am proud to be a warm-blooded mammal", as if one had any say in the matter.
Now, I am disappointed in individuals of all spectrum of skin pigmentation. I wish such individuals would act in ways that comport with being a civilized human being. Yet, such is life.

I agree, the human race as a whole can be very shameful, ignorant, arrogant and downright dangerous.
