I am shocked that something called the RightWingNews.com would be against the minimum wage hike. Shocking, I tell you!

Of course, tying the kiosks to the minimum wage hike is all in RightWingNews editor's mind, as witnessed by:

The self-service stations, which McDonald’s has billed as “Create Your Taste,” enable customers to choose from a selection of buns, toppings and sauces on tablet-like touchscreens, USA Today reports.

McDonald’s franchisee Bob Nibeel said the program would appeal to increasingly choosy and tech savvy millennials.

“Most millenials would rather deal with a computer, iPad, iPhone than actually have interactions with another human being,” Nibeel said in a video interview with USA Today.
I can attest that millennials and Gen X'ers rather deal with computers than incompetent and rude humans. Paneras has these too and they are great.

That sounds about right, though that doesn't stop the OP from trying to blame it on those pesky minimum wage workers rather than the customer's love for using technology over talking to people.

Are there stats to back this up?

Probably, I am just going off what Bob Nibeel said because the OP chose to use a garbage site for a link.

Anecdote. Nothing of statistical significance to back this up.

I am a gen Xer and would rather deal with automation. I usually go to the self checkout lines when available however if you think wages are not an issue I think you will be mistaken. The McDonald's franchisees in tulsa Oklahoma are not going to pay hamburger flippers $15 / hour.

I owuld think it has something to do with it but wages are an issue too. Especially for the Franchisee, not so much the corporatly owned McDonalds.

So you admit you would rather use technology but you don't think that has anything to do with the demand for technology? Are you messing with us?
