I thought this type of strife was always (and always will be) part of ANY CULTURE. Parents want their kids to marry within there race...what is the Great Mystery ???
I can relate to the guy who wrong that letter. I'm a late 20's Black male, and a large amount of women I've had crushes on have been non-Black women. And it doesn't stop there. There have been Black women of immigrant parents(Africa, the West Indies) who said that their parents don't want them to date African-American men. There are times when I find myself say "Man, we're despised by everyone, even foreign-born Blacks". Now, there are no absolutes. However, there are times when I find myself wondering how I fit into society as an American Black man.
Prove that the majority of Black men are nothing but sperm donors. And by statistics, I mean this. Show me the number of Black men who have children and then leave in comparison to the rest of the Black male population. I don't consider myself a minority. I consider myself as someone who gets overshadowed by the worst of the Black population, and feeling like I'm judged by others according to the worst.
Now, as I said before. At the end of the day, I care about where I will end up. Should I have to work twice as hard to get as much as anyone else in this regard?
Take a look at the sign up date, don't feed.
Back to the OT, I love how blunt and honest he is. I'd probably react in a similar way if that happened to me.

On the bright side, if you meet your dream girl, and she happens to be black, her family is going to LOVE you.
I was channel surfing one night and stopped on a show where the woman host was talking to six black men, in their 20's for the most part, who had fathered 87 children with 50 different mothers.
