Looks like Obama wants to make sure republicans win in 2016. Gun control on center stage over the next 12 months will do terrible things for the Democratic Party. Those democrats in purple states will be hurt big time during re election if gun control is one of the main talking points.

Obama and Hillary havnt learned from history when Clinton pushed for gun control in 92/93 and ended up losing control of the house for the first time in a long time.

Time and time again Americans have stated they do not want more gun control, recent polls have the majority of Americans wanting gun laws to either stay the same or become less restrictive.

Not to mention how Hillary said we should look into confiscating hundreds of millions of guns from every day Americans like they did in Australia.

I certainly hope this becomes a big issue during the next year.
No surer way to ensure a HRC defeat IMO.

Obama's had 7 years to get your guns. It's like he's not even trying.

With these recent terrorist attacks, it seems that the ship has sailed for Obama to do this.

GOP candidates right now look like a bunch of clowns (some more than others!). But Obama should tread carefully or he will hand the GOP the next Presidential election.

From the link.....

"Mr. Obama said easy access to guns is “the only variable” between the U.S. and other developed countries."

Nobody wants to talk about it but guns are NOT "the only variable". Question for you Mr. Obama? What race in the U.S. makes up only 14% of its population yet commits over half of all gun murders? What is the percentage population of that minority in other developed countries? Is this not a variable in gun violence in the U.S. ?

I don't see Obama's lust for gun control causing a win for Republicans/defeat for Democrats. I think he's probably learned to try to go about it quietly rather than grandstand on the issue. He obviously didn't get too far that way. He might try to have someone in Congress tack his dream onto a bill that the Republicans desperately want, or one that has a catchy name that would ensure outrage at a refusal to pass it.

I'm afraid of politicians trying to limit our rights; all of them. I don't see how such a feat could be accomplished in one year, though. If they want mental health records, how will they get around HIPPA laws without serious fallout? That could be a major concern even for those who are anti-gun. It opens the door to further intrusions in other programs or other parts of our lives. It would be ripe for abuse by both parties and the entrenched bureaucracy (think about Kim Davis). I would hope every American would be outraged at the precedent that would be set in allowing our medical history to be used as a test for being able to exercise any of our rights, even the ones you may or may not disagree with.

He's just trying to ruin our great nation in every way possible and is getting more desperate as the clock ticks. His legacy is already the worst president in our history pretty much so what does he have to lose. Next step for him is to attain the throne of the UN so he can ruin us even more from the world stage.

He's nothing but an evil con man in my estimation and millions of lemming numb-skulled Americans voted for him TWICE.
