Still with me?

In the last thirty years the nature of the American corporation has changed. They are now multi-national corporations. The American middle class is under 200 million. The potential for an Indian/Chinese middle class of over a billion changes the priorities of these companies. The Republicans still support them hook line and sinker and the American middle class is now just an expense to be contained.
The democrats are just as much big crony corporatists as the republicans are, until you realize that, then you are hopelessly lost.

SS disability is in crisis.

Probably because so many states found that they could dump chronic welfare recipients onto SSDI.

Obama was proposing cutting the rate of growth for SS recipients, and raising the age for Medicare, a year or two ago. If in ten or fifteen years a senior citizen receives about 60-75% of the equivalent of what seniors get today, is the program saved, or are the people down the road just getting screwed?

I was discussing why I can't be a Republican, and I don't like Hillary.
On the other hand, I do like Sanders. When he takes a position he explains why in detail.

You're on the mark here. Investors Business Daily says that the results of the Recession of 2009 will cut SS retirement benefits in 2029. According to SS themselves, SS will be cut in by 25% in 2034.

Obama jobs Czar? CEO of GE...the greatest force behind off-shoring in the USA. (I used to work for them)

Goldman Sachs all over his cabinet.

Monsanto execs in cabinet.

Clinton, Biden, Kerry, Kennedy and more all pushed NAFTA.

Clinton repealed banking regulations.

Clinton and Obama were the top recipients of oil company campaign donations in 2008.

It's why I typically vote 3rd party. Maybe someday you'll free yourself from memes and platitudes.

Yup, it's refreshing to hear a candidate actually answer a question, I'll give him that. But his wacko socialism is a death knell

And yet...is it? He is getting massive crowds, and is rapidly gaining in the polls.

It was always a lie and people took out more than they paid into it. The real losers were the ones that died before they got a dime and all their money went to someone else.

Just raise the age requirement 1 month per year for the next 20 years.

Republicans want to get rid of most programs not just social security. They want the IRS,EPA,Department of education, and any other departments gone. Welfare and disability also. The worst thing you can do is to mess with someone's money. Without a chance of retirement even with the little social security pays, will send many people to live in the street. What's Next? Revolution ,as they now have nothing to lose.
