Not true at all - Several of them provided "specifics" and managed to sneak in some "substance" (while Tapper was trying desperately to shut them up). You must have been out of the room if you missed that - or wearing blinders. Donald Trump is a very smart man - the level of specifics that he heard should have given him something to think about. Donald survived the buckshot really well, but he won't survived the knowledge and specifics that the others (Rubio, Cruz, Paul, Bush, Fiorina) will be bringing to the next debates. Trump can't count on Food Fights at all the debates - he better be ready with specifics and soon. Did you notice? Trump didn't speak for 40 minutes during that last hour of the debate - he didn't "interrupt" because he didn't know the "specifics". He will have to be better prepared in 6 weeks or it will begin to start hurting him. I noticed that Trump was very "non-combative" and very supportive of all the GOP candidates in an interview after the debate (new attitude for him) - he dodged a bullet and knows it.
Why would CNN ask this question at the Democratic Debates, did a Democrat say Hillary Clinton couldnt be trusted with foreign policy ????

No one is going to ask Hillary Clinton that question because no Democrat has made such a claim against her as they(republicans) have of Trump.

Context matters, and this debate was mostly about Republicans having to elaborate about their own previous statements.

Further more, Hillary Clinton is not being investigated for mishandling classified information. Both the New York Times, and the FBI have made statements clarifying that earlier reported lie.

way to go liberals.....spend like drunken sailors

more fascist liberal lies and harassment

such garbage...but what to expect from the fascist liberals

challenge: define 'conservative' or 'red' state
define liberal or blue states

hmm north Carolina, south Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi , Alabama , and lousianna ...all locked by the democrats for 80-120 years, since the 1880's

let's see 'red" state..nc...a DEMOCRAT STRONG HOLD for the last 100 years

let's see.. 'blue' state NY...the only thing blue in the state is NYC

the 'red'("republican") states also have the biggest share of military posts in the county

the 'red' states as you call them are not 'red' at the state and local level

the "red" state also have most of the farming. most of the military posts, and a good portion of the national parks

btw...many of the "red" states (based on POTUS election) are very BLUE in their own states...NC for example has been a democrat controlled state for 100 years..even though it was a 'red' state in 2000/4

the top 15 states in the Nation that consume the MOST in welfare. 13-of-15 are DEMOCRAT states; they went Blue in 2008.

The BIGGEST US WELFARE STATES

–Year Researched Data———2009————-2007————2008———-2009

State——-% of Pop on Welfare—–Spending on Welfare—-Total on Welfare—–Unemp

#1. California……………3.30%………………$3 .28 BILLION………..1,212,893…….11.5%

#2. Maine………………..2.37%……………….$ 61.73 MILLION………..31,148……….8.3%

#3. Tennessee………….2.15%……………..$91.28 MILLION……….133,505……….10.7%

#4. Massachusetts…….2.09%…………….$295.29 MILLION………136,033………8.2%

#5. Vermont…………….2.02%……………..$30.9 2 MILLION………..12,543……..7.3%

#6. Wash DC…………..1.99%……………….$18.67 MILLION………..11,806………..10.7%

#8. Minnesota…………..1.88%………………$106 .29 MILLION………98,028…….8.2%

#10. New Mexico……….1.83%………………$58.87 MILLION…….36,322…………..6.5%

#11. Indiana……………..1.83%………………..$ 102.27 MILLION…..116,430……….10.6%

#12. Rhode Island……..1.79%……………….$57.4 MILLION…………..18,839…………..12.1%

#13. Michigan…………..1.60%………………..$38 0.93 MILLION……….164,589………14.1%

#14.Pennsylvania……….1.60%………………$ 247.29 MILLION………198,666…………8.2%

#15. Oregon…………….1.55%………………….$ 83.85 MILLION……….58,831………….12.4%

No matter what you think, the fact that 13 of the 15 states mentioned above who TAKE the most money for WELFARE are BLUE states!!!!

some of the biggest welfare states....new york and california and mississippi...all very much liberal states....and missi also has the highest black population in the country

new york SPENDS more per capita on WELFARE than almost anyother state, 'blue' states like NY have more welfare recipients than 10 of those 'red' states combined..they are number 8

top 7 states per capita of welfare

1. DISTRICT OF COLOMBIA (wash DC)
2. GUAM
3. Rhode Island
4. Tenn
5. california
6. Maine
7. alaska
8. new york

highest dropout rates....nevada and illinois...very blue

texas also PRODUCES 40% of the ENERGY that California USES...yet

cali is the second biggest carbon emiter.....behind...texas

btw I am a new yorker (a northerner)

the problem is the democrats and their love for welfare and other social programs...the more they push these programs the more the wealthier states will pay for the poorer states. the more they push the "tax the rich" mantra, the more the rich will be paying for the poor.......NJ has more people that are considered wealthy, than it has people below the poverty line...a state like SC has more workingclass and poor than it has wealthy.....its simple math....and there is a simple solution,,, vote out the tax and spend liberals
oops

The only time Donald Trump was childish was when he took a swipe at Rand Paul out of thin air. Other than that, he attacked others on their records, like Carly Fiorina, Scott Walker, Jeb Bush. I did not agree with what some were expressing, but no one was really childish at all.

The moderators, like Jake Tapper of CNN tried to get Trump and Fiorina to go to blows, but neither did. Carly answered well when said that only Americans can decide if they trust Trump with nuclear weapons. Same with the face/persona thing, her answer was good, and Donald did not say anything bad about her either.
I have read some headlines about how Carly really destroyed Donald, but that was not the case. The moderators and the media want to get Trump to say controversial statements but really he was mellow and only attack others on their records, which is way debates should be.

I was so happy when Chris Christie and John Kasich took Jake Tapper to task on about discussing important issues, that was really needed. And Tapper kept vainly trying to have Fiorina attack Trump, but it was to no avail.
Everyone was on their good behavior, and not disagreed. CNN tried to turn this to circus and they failed.
I did not see the fascination with Fiorina at all, her answers to issues like the Iran Deal were similar to the others, nor did she demolish Trump at all. I think she is very unlikely to get the nomination, Donald Trump has a far better chance.

Overall Donald did NOT screw up, nor did he let the moderators get him to say anything stupid.
No one did a crap job, nor did anyone really run away with it either. Everyone did moderately well.

Some needed more time considering it was a really long debate. Jake Tapper was awful.
I have real problems with Faux news, but why in the world would the GOP agree to let CNN loose on their candidates? Mind boggling.

Carly has some serious baggage to overcome if she wants to win. I don't think it is surmountable. All it takes is a few Karl Rove phone calls to the media to tank her hopes and prop up Jeb.
Her step daughter died at age 35.

Both Fiorina and her ex accuse each other of cheating.

Unlike Trump's 2 prior marriages, the dissolution of Fiorina's marriage did not play out on the front page of NYC papers.

( I am neutral on Fiorina)

What kind of a candidate waives the white flag on our laws and tells the world we can't enforce our laws?

Trump is right and he has the LAW on his side to DEPORT any illegal immigrant on U.S. SOIL. Maybe he won't get all of them because this mess is decades in the making but he will start bringing that number down and finally secure the border.

If Trump can bring down the illegal immigration by 35% on his first term, that is a SUCCESS!!! 1 STEP at a time.
He did concede last night it might be necessary for SCOTUS to address birthright citizenship.
He also acknowledged Congress would need to act on deportation.

He did not get into the weeds about due process.

Will be interesting to see how America reacts to his past and likely continued future personal attacks. Here's the thing: Trump is fundamentally a bombastic bully and a showman. He makes wildly exaggerated claims and attacks people; that's his thing. Being a bully is great for short-term attention, but it tends not to wear well in the long run. If he's going to make it in the long run, there had better be a lot more policy substance to match that bullying tendency...otherwise, I don't see it. That's the picture this debate started to open up.
There have only been 2 debates.

Fiorina will likely shave points off of Trump and Carson in the next round of polls.

Christie might get a lift for ending the sandbox squabble between Trump and Fiorina.

If anyone had a belief that a Jeb! presidency would look any different than a W presidency, they should rest assured, by this response, that it would not.
Basically any Republican administration would include the same exact advisors, with Rand Paul (and maybe Trump) being notable exceptions. The same thing happens on the Democratic side, Obama brought back all the old Clinton advisors. Bernie would probably change that, but a Hillary victory (or Biden, O'Malley, etc.) would keep the status quo. Everyone is here to stay on either side.
