'Nice' to see him catering to this type of crowd. These candidates are shooting themselves in the foot left and right, and playing right into the hands of themselves and democrats.
Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson says Islam is antithetical to the Constitution, and he doesn't believe that a Muslim should be elected president.
"I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation," Carson said. "I absolutely would not agree with that."
He did not specify in what way Islam ran counter to constitutional principles.
Here's what I recently posted on another thread regarding Muslims:
"It may not be right, but after 9/11 many Americans don't trust Muslims. No matter how much they know it's wrong, they just can't. We have generations of Americans now who will distrust a whole religion and a variety of ethnic groups. And I have a hard time judging my fellow Americans for their judgment.
It is what it is. It's terrible, but it's only natural IMHO to have that distrust and trepidation after what happened to us - yes, at the hand of an extremist few, but now with a group like ISIS becoming powerful and spreading hate and threatening, again - what do you expect? It sucks for all the good Muslims who have never and never will do wrong or have hate. But it is what it is."
I believe this goes for this subject, as well. I imagine this distrust will take years to disappear.
The West and Islam just don't get along right now. Fact.

My view of islam evolved post-9-11. After tge attacks I knew nothing about islam and stood up for not attacking it based on the actions of a few. I thought of islam like other religions, but it's not. It's a political quest rooted in terror, opression, and lies.

It really does not matter what Carson thinks. He is on his way out. It is hard to believe he wakes up long enough to make the utterly ridiculous statements he has publicly made over the last two years. Like Walker, he is not even close to being nominated.
We should take a poll. I agree with him.
Obama is as close to an anti-Constitutional as I care to get.
Islam is their Government and determines their laws.
