Other than the state of Washington, does anyone know the President of China is here? Does Obama know? Do you know?
Chinese President Xi Jinping is being formally welcomed at the White House on Friday. The White House and DC Security services have had a busy week having given a State Welcome to Pope Francis I at the White House on Wednesday Morning. Thursday was a busy day too with the Pope speaking to a joint session of Congress. A formal State Dinner is planned for the Chinese President Friday evening. After meetings on Saturday its up to New York for both leaders for the UN Opening of the current session. Both have planned speeches before the UN General Assembly.

Did anyone ask him whether he'd be willing to buy California to help us pay off our National Debt? It could be his and other wealthy Chinese executives' go-to vacation place. Plenty of cheap labor there to work in the hotel industry and other service industries. Maybe we can put up a wall around it.
A high-wattage collection of Hollywood studio chiefs and technology big-wigs convened at the White House Friday for a state dinner in honor of Chinese President Xi Jinping, even as cybertheft of American trade secrets remains a major point of contention between Washington and Beijing.
The White House invited marquee names from Silicon Valley, including Apple CEO Tim Cook and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, to sit at the dinner's head table alongside President Barack Obama and President Xi. I love Vera Wang, but really!? Michelle's dress does not seem appropriate considering the modest attire of the Chinese.
