Do you think race relations will get better or worse after President Obama leaves office?
I personally think race relations will get worse as Blacks continue to face racial oppression and injustice. I don't see it getting any better after Obama presidency. What do you think?
IMO, Race relations will stay on the same "glide path" they have been on for the past 50 years.
The number of real racist (percent in society) probably has not really changed compared to the path. It is just that those who were in the closet were either emboldened enough or incensed enough to be more vocal.
I think those outraged that a black man is in charge and not afraid to call out racism will be less vocal and emboldened as the source of their angst is less visible.
The rise of cameras and social media spreads select bad police behaviors that black people have long complained about but now have evidence to prove, so probably not without real change.

Blacks who believe they are suffering oppression and injustices under a black democrat president will likely perceive things to be worse under the next administration, which will most likely be a republican one.

Meh...doubt it. We're used to white men running things. Hell, it's all we've (and everyone else) ever known. It's not a big deal.
Besides, let's have some perspective here. Things ain't going back to 1955 or some awful ass era like that in this nation's history (pretty much every year up to 1970 or so), so the whole "race relations" thing is overblown as an issue anyway. It's really not that important.
I mean, what is race relations anyway? Why is it so important that we all like/love each other? It's not IMO. The way I see it, I love my friends and family regardless of color, and that's it. That's good "race relations."
Otherwise, just respect people in the way you'd wanna be respected. It's not necessary to seek out 'good relations' with those people if you don't even know them. If folks just do that, race relations would take care of itself and the incessant need to discuss it would disappear.
Continuously worse, as even if the climate were to reverse it would not quickly occur. The momentum is currently too strong. The left has made a long term commitment to putting socialism second to identity politics. If a democrat is elected, race relations will continue to deteriorate by a priority design. If a conservative is elected, foreign wars will increase. In reality, both of these things will be pushed no matter who is in office. The difference is which one will be pushed directly and get more news coverage vs. the one that will be pushed more indirectly, quieter, and get less news coverage. In the end, it all leads to the same place.

This technology has also chronicled and exposed extreme black violence to a degree that many of us never knew existed before. Once you've seen one of those mob beat down videos it can't be unseen. I'm not sure what the implications of that will be for race relations but it's hard to envision a fully integrated post-racial society developing any time soon.
