The next Speaker of the house is on record saying that he will end the restrictions on oil exportation.

Being someone who worked and lived through the 70's and 80's. This is a big mistake. We were held captive by OPEC then and watched massive inflation caused by the high jump in oil prices. Ask your parents how high interest rates were and how it nearly killed the country.

The current issue is that we are shutting down wells, which is a good thing, as oil is a commodity which is easy to manipulate. Just as OPEC has opened up pumping oil they can shut it down creating a replay of a decade we do not have to repeat.

Mr. Speaker is looking for cash from his oil billionaires and will hurt the people who put him the house for that cash.

Good Read. Seems to miss the actions of the commodities futures market and the ability for a few to cause the upward price of the commodity.

Hopefully they'll go after the EPA too so refinery capacity can be increased.
Oh no the baby ducks!

It's got nothing to do with that. Partisan nonsense.

It's got everything to do with hurting Putin because much of Russia's cash comes from oil exports. This, BTW, comes with Obama's full support.

I hope the next speaker is not a RINO and returns to adhering to basic conservative values. Otherwise there is no two party system. We just become Democrats so what's the point?

You do realize the last Speaker wasn't a RINO either, he just wasn't extreme far right.
