Are you not aware that criminals don't follow laws?

The problem is democrats always fight mandatory sentancing and want criminals released sooner rather than later.

Here in California they made possession of a stollen gun a misdemeanor when it was a felony. Last time I checked, it isn't the republicans passing the laws here.

If you want to reduce crime then fix the underlying causes, such as a failing education system, single parent households, over regarding business preventing job growth, etc.
I'll be the first to admit we need to end the war on the drugs. As to the rest, is this what it takes to get conservatives to spend on social issues? Threaten to take away their guns?

And Obama is about to let thousands of drug offenders out of prison that also have illegal gun charges on them and some even trafficked guns. The damn POTUS doesn't even want the laws enforced.

You are nutz!
Pretty soon, a handmade musket, that you never let anyone know about??

The 1934 firearms Act is unconstitutional. And you want to give the government even more firepower over the people...

We are going backwards... Merry `ol England and the King telling you your worth.... With no way for you to fight back.

It's called risk management. Do you also suggest we get rid of all laws? What's so special about guns and this logic?

We spend more on social issues than most countries, the majority of federal spending is on the various welfare programs.

The problem is any time we want to hold people accountable for their actions the democrats get in the way. Give parents vouchers to move kids to good schools, democrats fight it. Set up a tax system that benefits two parent households instead of single parent households, democrats fight it. Keep violent criminals in jail, democrats fight it. Provide a regulation system that is simple and allows business to flourish and democrats fight it. I'm not saying republicans are saints, they have plenty of responsibility for a bunch of issues. But anything that would provide an environment to lift people out of dependency is chastised by democrats, they prefer policies that increase dependency on government.
