I haven't seen Turkey nor the United States actually prove it. All I seen is Turkey claiming they did and the US claiming they heard it lol. What I have seen is leaders from other countries saying its dislike for Turkey actions

If a military bomber passed into Russia, would they allow it to fly to Moscow because it can't shoot back?

What kind of thinking is that?

Seems like some people are firmly on Russia's side.

However, it is well known that Russia had been violating the Turkish airspace for a while. For instance, here is an article from October 7th about Turkey warning Russia:

https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/re...on-of-airspace

Yet another:

How about another:

Repeated Airspace Violations Raise Tensions Between Russia And Turkey | EurasiaNet.org

Now, some like to argue that the Russian plane had only entered Turkish airspace 'a little'. However, when a country (here, Russia) is repeatedly violating that airspace, it can raise concerns by the host country (Turkey). In the past I have read where such 'little' airspace violations can be done by a potential foe for purposes of testing the countries radar, etc.

From what I heard on the news this morning, Russia admitted that their plane was in Turkish airspace when it was hit, and that the plane crashed into Syrian territory. It does not appear that Mr. Putin will make too much of this, save for some bluster.

I admire Turkey for forbearing so long.

Civilian aircraft? It was an armed military aircraft, which had been repeatedly warned.

A person has wonder about the amount of hypocrisy that comes out of Turkey President mouth. He seem to forget what he said just 3 years ago.

Quote:
Turkey has been accused of hypocrisy over the downing of a Russian warplane on the Syrian border, after it emerged that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan himself said “a short-term border violation can never be a pretext for an attack”.
Quote:
The incident has echoes of a reverse situation in 2012, when the Syrian regime shot down a Turkish F-4 Phantom which, it said, entered its airspace off the country’s north-east coast. Then, Turkey spoke of its “rage” at the decision to shoot down the jet, which was on a training flight testing its own country’s radar systems.

“A short-term border violation can never be a pretext for an attack,” Mr Erdogan said at the time, threatening in response that “every military element approaching Turkey from the Syrian border… will be assessed as a military threat and treated as a military target”.
Seems quite apparent there is more to Turkey motives on this issue.

Ok, lets try again, since you dodged the questions:

If US military bombers passed into Russia 'to bomb terrorists', would they allow it to fly to Moscow because it can't shoot back?

I think many are missing the issue here. According to the U.S. military, the Russian jet was only in Turkish airspace for 17 seconds. The Turks used that excuse to destroy the plane because the actual reason, Russia's attack on the Turkmen in Syria, couldn't be used.

Let's also remember this:
