Face it, given the correctly found head shrinker, all of us could probably be classified with one disorder or another. Who do we give such power to, to decide who gets guns and who doesn't? Finally, for those we do give that power to, can we really trust them to use it correctly (there's that darn paranoia again).

Very good question. How does one define mental illness? If someone takes Prozac for mild depression or had some type of breakdown that they recovered from after the death of a child or a spouse after a long illness. Does that mean they can't have a gun?

What are the guidelines. As you said any of us with the right doctor could find something "off" about you.

As long as they are stable I don't see any problem at all with them keeping their firearms.
