The kid is being manipulated and only a fool would buy into how they're trying to make a hero out of him. I feel sorry for him, clearly nobody has his best interests at heart. He could have had a good life here in the US if his parents weren't such hater losers. Maybe he would have just been an everyday nobody but he would have been spared having to associate with those he's now been paraded in front of.
He's going to be under pressure now to serve some very foul people.
Pretty much exactly right. It's sad, but it's also just another example of why we need to better control our immigration policies. This kids parents hate America, yet they moved here and then tried to raise hateful children. They never should have been allowed in our country in the first place. I'm glad they're moving to Qatar and hopefully they will turn in their green cards on their way out!

Do you think he can have a good or even better life in Qatar?
Qatar has the highest per capita income in the world. The boy has been offered full scholarships to receive one of the best educations in the world. That's hardly a recipe for getting "radicalized".
While in Sudan, Ahmed, clock boy poses with the current Sudanese president, Omar al-Bashir. It so happens that Bashir - the "Butcher of Darfur" - is under indictment for war crimes, including genocide, the deaths of at least 400,000 people during the last decade.
Next he is a guest of Barack Obama at the White House.
Wow, they really make it hard to not stereotype people, don't they? I remember when this story came out, and some people were quick to defend this boy out of fear others might stereotype the kid, because he is a Muslim whose parents are from the Sudan. Who knew that Ahmed’s father, Mohamed Hassan al-Sufi, had twice run for the presidency of Sudan?

Yeah, compare that with Obama's "education".
