I was 16 in 1966 and pregnant. Straight A student thru high school, straight As on exams, straight A average! So much for the scholarship I had worked so hard for! Married, as was the custom, then divorced, tied for life with a man I should never have been with (at 16 girls often don't choose well!) left with a son whom I don't even speak to and jobs as waitress, secretary, receptionist, medical records clerk, ETC. All my dreams of a career in the field I hoped for, GONE. MY life, my dreams, my NEEDS.. no one in power in those days gave a rat's ass about MY LIFE
MY needs, MY wants, MY life. ME, ME, ME!
So she doesn't speak to her son or apparently have a relationship with him. I guess that means she regrets he is alive? What a horrible thing to say. What about his life?
Here's the thing. Having sex has consequences. One of those consequences is bringing a new life into the world. That changes your life and your plans. The father should ABSOLUTELY be an equal partner and share the load and responsibility as well.
I don't think abortion should be outlawed but it shouldn't be celebrated as some sort of empowerment either.

Well she was 16......I believe it is important for teens to want to focus on themselves as they learn more.
This is called "blowback" to the American Taliban.

I assume this is supposed to paint the anti-abortionists as radicals who want to deprive women yada yada right?
Because if you can't take the life you created through your own irresponsibility then the rest of the rights you have might as well not even exist??
