All you guys that dispute the information about ocean acidification and about how sinkholes in Florida occur - if it makes you feel better to deny it then y'all just keep on telling yourselves it's not so and keep your heads in the sand. LOL.
Anyone else who isn't sure or doesn't really know a thing about it can confirm acidification and how sinkholes are created by doing some personal, unbiased research of your own. There's loads of reputable, credible scientific websites online that go into all the details and confirm it.
Any chance you could find something more up to date, not older findings from 6 to 15 years ago? A lot of those glaciers listed have changed and degraded dramatically during the past 5 years and some are now gone.

Sinkholes are NOT caused by CO2. There was just a documentary on the Science channel about it and the cause is limestone falling apart and loosening the soil.

Yeah, yeah. So if you were really paying attention to it then you know the reason the limestone is falling apart is because the limestone is being dissolved by acid. Limestone doesn't just fall apart for no reason, it has to be caused by something. Okay?
So let me repeat what I said before: - the reason the limestone is dissolving is because carbonic acid is what is dissolving it. And the reason the carbonic acid is there is because carbonic acid is dissolved CO2 that was dissolved by water. And the reason the CO2 is getting dissolved by rain water, literally becoming acid rain, is because there's too much CO2 concentrated in the atmosphere. So carbonic acid, as acid rain, falls to earth and then dissolves more CO2 that's already in the earth into more carbonic acid and then all of the carbonic acid combined from both the atmosphere and the earth, and from acidified ocean water, is dissolving the limestone and other minerals in the earth.

Got it now?

Yeah uhuh...Too bad they never mentioned anything about that at all. Acidified ocean water? Do you know what level the PH needs to be at for the water to be acidic? It needs to be below 7.0, which it is NOT. The Oceans are still very alkaline no matter what you have been told. The oceans average about 8.2- 8.4 PH level. That is nowhere near acidic. Move along with your nutty conspiracy theory.

CO2 creates the carbonic acid (the most common source of acidity in water) that dissolves the lime stone, so it contributes.

oh geez.. now sinkholes are caused by global warming? seriously lol.. Cant we just sacrifice something to the sun god? Other than my warmth in the winter. I could seriously use some global warming as it has been record cold here for years on end. Introducing: climate change!
Almost everything is naturally water soluble. There are very few things that are not water soluble. Add CO2 to the water, you get carbonic acid and it dissolves those things much, much faster than water alone would dissolve them.
I know that and more water (precipitation) that is becoming more acidic is partially a result of climate change.
