YOu present no evidence to support your statement that big pharma, dupont and big booze are behind the effort to keep marijuana illegal.

Try again.

Beer Lobby Gives $10,000 To 'No' On Proposition 19 Pot Legalization | L.A. Weekly

These companies have a huge financial interest in keeping marijuana illegal and keeping people hooked on the dangerous, highly addictive drugs they produce.

Marijuana Legalization: Pharmaceuticals, Alcohol Industry Among Biggest Opponents Of Legal Weed

we all know they lobby to keep the stuff illegal.. they would be doing the exact opposite if they could have patented cannabis.. they would have been pushing it like it was candy if they had patents on it..

I'm looking forward to the day when someone has the nuts to sue the gubmint for keeping the medicinal wonderplant, MJ, illegal.

Its going to happen, and soon.

The entire reason Big Pharma and the gubmint conspired to outlaw it in the first place = the Mexican laborers were not drinking their overpriced moonshine and no one could figure out a way to tax MJ.

So = illegal. Purely for profit.

No one can patent MJ as its a natural product. Big Pharma lives off patents.

GMO mj.......who says monoplies won't arise if lehgalized and it won'tinclude big pharma. BP stays away from drugs which affect the CNS. Too many lawsuits.

Smoking is bad, ban tobacco but puch mj????

MJ works thru the CNS. the last thing we need is more adled people running around.
Buy illegal mj and support the violence that is downstream of gangs and drugs.

Waiting for the first lawsuits filed against legal sellers for some adled smoker running amuck and causing havoc.....it will happen.

You have heard of a little thing called oxycontin, right? You know, that thing ravaging many communities and raking in billions for the pharmaceutical industry?

The pharma industry doesn't want marijuana legal for a very simple reason - fear that it might cut into sales of their vastly profitable and highly addictive products. They know full well that people are going to abuse things like oxycontin. They count on addicts to keep revenue high. They're no better than common drug dealers. They clearly don't particularly care about the overdose deaths or the exploding murder rate in places like southern WV and eastern KY as long as the cash keeps coming in.

It doesn't matter if it's marijuana or a pill, they are all HIGHLY DANGEROUS substances that no human should have ever been "hooked" on or use for recreation. Smoking is illegal for children because we obviously know what it does to a child's brain and development. What makes people think there is a difference for an adult? People are going to learn in the decades to come the horrific effects of these drugs.

It doesn't have to be death. Marijuana has DEVASTATING effects on the respiratory and circulatory system AND creates permanent damage to the brain structure. Not to mention it has been WIDELY KNOWN to manifest psychosis and a trigger for people with dormant mental illnesses and manic episodes.
