I don't think Starbucks had any meetings about how to upset sensitive right wingers with this new red cup design. Though I wonder, how many of these sensitive right wingers are still chugging their sugar filled drinks from Starbucks?
That Facebook link shows a guy upset with the red cups going into a Starbucks and giving his name as "Merry Christmas" as a way to get the employees to say it (when your coffee is up they yell your name and it appears on your cup as I'm sure you know).
While this cute antic may get his rocks off he is actually doing more harm than good in terms of hurting Starbucks because of the money he is spending in there not to mention encouraging others to do the same little parlor trick.
Anyway, it's mostly just a Pagan holiday for many of us, winter solstice, which generally we just consider secular as it's not like we're actually pagans these days. I don't actually believe in Jesus and there's never been any Christian inspirations in the Starbucks cups before. It's always been secular/Pagan themed with generic stuff like snowflakes, sleds, random patterns, stars. It's not like they took baby Jesus and his altar off the cups as they were never there to begin with. But if you want an actual war on Christmas, that would be what the Christians did a few hundred years ago banning Christmas celebrations as they at that time felt it wasn't Christian enough. Now they've flip-flopped more than John Kerry and have become paranoid.
Did the 17 year old say which side he was on? I didn't see that, are you assuming things or just making a observation? I see now capitalism is good.......
Starbucks is certainly one reason for overweight teens and adults, yet people find $7.00 a cup a great deal......some want the cup decorated at this price, let the consumer speak.
Well then leave a comment card next time, or better yet, bring a marker and decorate your own cup of sugar coffee.

Yes they do. They are called diversity and sensitivity training.
Starbuchs is run by leftist commies. Their coffee is overpriced and sucks.
I buy my morning coffee from a place that is far better and they do not give me commie BS when I buy it.
Go to other places that serve better coffee without the marxist banter.
