That is irrelevant.

Ask instead how many lives Pfizer saved over the years.

Corporate welfare falls in the lap of your government , not Pfizer.

Your elected officials approve the tax code not Pfizer. If your choice of representative is sway by big money then you made a poor chioce in who you want to represent you.

Bet you will use the same failed criteria to cast your vote in the next election.

How about Pfizer stop charging us double and triple the price for the same drug sold overseas for less? How about the stop prohibiting generics from being allowed into the market?

We should try a zero tax system and see how that works out for everyone.
Or, we could try a 100% tax system where the government owns everything. How would you feel about going to that system?

If you really want to fix this, pass a law making it illegal for pharmaceutical companies to sell drugs at a higher price than they are sold in any other country.

Do you really believe getting rid of the patent system is going to reduce drug costs?

Oh, my.

Goofball sense? Really? Let me point to a practical example of what happens when we try it your way. Kansas.

Why don't you tell us? But first, define "corporate welfare." Do you mean they took advantage of tax deductions they are allowed under the IRS code? Or are you trying to say they were "bailed out" in some way?

They have as much legal right as anyone else to take advantage of tax savings allowed by law. Leftists like to call these, "loopholes," but they are not.

I don't blame them for wanting to relocate their corporate headquarters. Burger King did the same.

If we want businesses to stay here, then we are going to have to reduce the corporate tax rate to make it one of the lowest in the world, instead of the highest.

Answer this, why do companies move operations overseas?

Once you answer that question, you might be able to grasp this issue.

Oh look, the "highest" rate in the world nonsense again...all the while ignoring that the effective rate is about average.

As for Pfizer....what they are doing is unAmerican. they want the benefits of being based in America, without paying the costs. Sounds like a lot of folks on CD actually....

They aren't moving their operations overseas in this case. you know that right? Nothing is changing really...just where they claim to be based. Apparently you dont grasp the issue.

What about Kansas? Really? If you have to ask then you havent been paying attention to the pretty dramatic results of a state trying to follow this sort of race to the bottom nonsense.

What about Kansas?
Kansas tried your radical experiment of lowering taxes to nothing and cutting all servves and all that has happened is that its economy cratered.
