So, one temp employed by an agency works at four different client companies over a 5 day work week. Four hours per day per company. She has to travel (as in drive) across town for each client.
Obama uses the same unemployment formula that Clinton and George Bush used. I think the older bush and reagan used a slightly different method though. Obama isn't cooking any books, and we may have to get used to higher U6 unemployment because our society is older. I have a lot of boomer co-workers who are semi-retiring at 62-63 and getting simple part time jobs. Sure, I bet they would like a full time job still if the pay was good enough, but that probably isn't heading their way. This type of situation inflates the U6 rate.
The U6 rate has been declining since 2010. In recent years its been declining roughly 1.5% a year. There is no indication that this trend has ended.
211k jobs is nothing..it doesnt even keep up with the population increase
the country needs 400-480k added each month to keep up with the population increase...anything less is showing NO IMPROVEMENT
That is bogus. Even when boomers were entering the workforce there was only 150k jobs needed per month for population growth. With their retirement economists are saying as few as 80k a month are needed.
You do realize that more people have been retiring since the start of the recession. The amount of people working while going to school has also dropped.

Where do you get that number from because there is no basis for in reality?
Those wanting a job who are not currently counted in the labor force has declined by 800k in the last year. The break even point, to keep up with new entrants and re-entrants, is around 200k.
yes to the extent government can be given credit, 1/3 on the Federal level goes to Obama, 1/3 to Senate Republicans, and 1/3 to Congressional Republicans...so 1/3 due to Dem and 2/3 due to Republican policies.

How many 'jobs' were created?
Is there a common core pathway to an answer?
It does make you wonder, if a person has two part-time jobs is our gubbermint counting this as two jobs created? I would assume the answer is yes.
Also makes you wonder if more people are working part now, and whether all those new jobs in the monthly reports are just folks working part time.
and it makes you wonder how does all the people now working part time correspond to the fifty year high in the US poverty level.
Those working part for economic reasons (ie want to work full time) has declined by 2 million since 2009 and by roughly 800k in the last year.
