According to a report on CNN just a while ago, the local prosecutor is going to wait for a grand jury to hand down an indictment. So it could be weeks or months before anything happens. I'm usually willing to give the cops the benefit of the doubt, but this time I think they were way too fast on the trigger based on what can be seen in the video. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
The judges ruling is apparently based upon a Ohio law that allows anyone with knowledge of a crime to submit affidavits to a judge who can then recommend to the DA that charges be filed. In his ruling Judge Ronald Adrine found that probable cause existed for officer Timothy Loehmann to be charged with the slaying of Tamir Rice. That doesn't mean that the DA is required to file those charges although the DA must submit a homicide to a grand jury.

Has this case already been submitted to the grand jury? The talking head on CNN seemed to talk like it was. But perhaps I misunderstood.
A man in the dark(he was a big boy) points a gun(a toy gun altered to look real) at a police officer and gets shot. True, they shot too fast. You just have to wonder how a jury will see it. I'm glad it's not my decision.

So in other words, a meaningless gesture by someone looking for media attention.
