But Chicago is a model for gun laws according to Obama.

3 dead, 21 injured in Chicago shootings on New Year's weekend | abc7chicago.com

Come on Texas. You need to listen to Obama if you want some of those record-setting homicide rates.

Haven't you heard? The reason Chicago has a "gun problem" is because other states have failed laws. Not because some of the people in Chicago should be sent to a penal colony in the Aleutian Islands, but because the laws in Texas 1,000 miles away have failed.

Yeah but the criminals still break Chicago gun laws no matter where they get the guns.

Oh, I heard. The "educated" liberals have informed me of all the honor students in Chicago who are all turning their lives around. But all the gun-slinging states have somehow dispatched the majority of their homicides to Chicago. Amazing how only the liberals mind is capable of reaching these conclusions.

How many in Chicago were a result of open carry? Why are you selectively comparing open-carry only homicides in Texas to all gun homicides in Chicago?

Because liberals keep talking about how Texas is going to turn into the wild west once the open-carry laws go into effect. The fact that Chicago was displaying their usual record-setting homicide rates was just icing on the cake.

Would you like to see the posts that were made in this forum by the anti gun crowd that were crowing how Texas would be a bloodbath due to the passage of open carry?
