He got hurt chasing a perp — and now he runs marathons on the taxpayers’ dime.
A retired NYPD cop awarded a disability pension after tearing up his knee in a foot pursuit works as a sheriff’s deputy near Miami and runs races — and it’s all legal.
What ever happened to having some morals and decency?
Running marathons on state disability should be illegal by New York State Law.
I don't know precisely WHY this is legal, but considering how corrupt the state of New York is, you have to assume their taxpayers are getting fleeced by the unions.
Loads of people on disability watching Fox News all days and posting screeds about Obama here...
So true. Will never forget sitting in IHOP around the corner from a Harley Dealer when these two older guys sit after getting their new rides and talking about their Disability Claims. LOL
Who cares? I would rather see this guy screw the system than someone who has played it without contributing to society.
Yes, he is a "hero" for gaming the system.
This kind of disability fraud is rampant in the NYPD and NYFD, and has been for a very long time..I have members of my own extended family who slipped on banana peels after 5 years on NYPD, and earned a salary for decades afterward..while working jobs like moving furniture and such.....but they are all "heroes" so no one should question it.
