And people still claim we don't have a problem with guns in America!

Quote:
Here's the shocking claim: Since President John F. Kennedy was shot down in late 1963, more Americans have been killed by gunfire in this country than died in all U.S. wars.

The Virginia Center for Public Safety, a gun control advocacy group, repeated that assertion, which has been made before, in fliers handed out at a Jan. 18 rally in Richmond. And PolitiFact decided to run the numbers with the latest data.
U.S. Shootings Since 1963 Have Killed More Americans Than All Wars Ever

Yes, but 60% or more of gun deaths are suicides.

Seriously, that's it? Hell if guns cause violence, it would imagine a whole lot worse than that. We have more guns than people here!!!

By the way, why didn't they lump all Americans shot in the battle to their numbers too? Better extend to 1000 years while they are at it!

Who the hell came up with this BS? And who are those who believe in this BS?

Some people love to bring race into every single conversation. For a chance can we just consider everyone Americans. Sweet baby Jesus!

why would they include suicide (at 63%!)? if they're going to include suicide, why not also include the # of people who killed themselves by jumping off something, hanging themselves or took a bottle of pills?

very disingenuous

and if they didn't have a gun, they would have opened up their veins in a bathtub or 567 different ways people kill themselves.

Like I said, it is very disingenuous to include people inflicting harm on themselves as part of a blog on gun violence. But hey, to each his own. Huffington post has their koolaid drinkers just like any other extremist blogging site.
