Terrible loss today with Anthony Scalias death. We should all be thankful though that he went peacefully, and hope for as good of fortune in the death of ourselves and our loved ones.
That being said, there is now a vacancy on the Supreme Court. I'm sure it would not happen, but I really hope Obama nominates himself to the spot. That way VP Biden could fulfill his sons dream of being president for a short time, and Obama will continue to have an impact in government. Also would allow Biden to run in 2016 with ease.

Per the article linked to the msn.com homepage, U.S. District Judge Fred Biery doesn't think anything will happen (a nomination to replace Scalia) until after the next POTUS is elected.
When Hilary becomes president it is likely that Obama will be on the short list for a Supreme court seat. Thankfully President Obama can replace Scalia with a progressive judge and end the 5/4 split for ever. Republicans must be seeing red!
You know Obama's got a list in his pocket. Phones are being worked as we speak.
It will be interesting to see what he does - I think he will nominate someone, just to fire up the D base so it turns out in the general, no matter what Congress does(n't) do and no matter who the nominee. And no, he won't nominate himself.
Scalia lived a long, productive, and meaningful life, and died in his sleep at a house party. We should all be so lucky. Politically, I didn't like him at all.
