You mean like the right being okay with bibles being distributed in school but having an issue when someone non Christian does the same thing? Oh wait......
No bibles should be distributed in any public schools - we should do away with Under God too.
You are picking an extreme view. I do agree there are extreme views on the right. The thing is, almost every view on the left is extreme, intolerant and full of double standards.
Where shall we start...
1. Minimum wage increase
2. Illegal immigration
3. Income equality but excluding athletes, movie stars, etc.
4. Diversity only for the blacks and good paying jobs
5. Special rights only for gays
6. Gun control/criminal empowerment
7. More spending without limit
obviously you were too busy getting tingles up your leg when Obama spoke. he made many many disparaging hateful comments about successful people and republicans.
You Leftists just can't help yourselves. Your hate filled, anti-Christian rhetoric must always come out. I feel sorry for you. Your life must seem hopelessly meaningless.
Our freedom, our "natural rights" articulated in our founding documents, indeed those specifically embodied in the First Amendment, stem from the Bible and Christianity. It was John Calvin, a man whose writings (like those of John Locke) were very familiar to our founders and framers, who believed those "natural rights" were grounded in scripture.
The Declaration of Independence, one of our founding documents, talks about all men being created equal. It then goes on to call the native peoples "savages"; I don't think Christ would refer to people as "savages."
The faces of the homeless are mostly invisible in this country. An experiment into this showed people dressed up as homeless people, and then they showed family members walking by them. Those walking by didn't recognize their own family members. Many of our veterans are homeless. In the "land of plenty" this is obscene. And we have the gall to call ourselves a Christian nation.
There are children going hungry here. Families who are working all they can to barely make ends meet, and the people at the top look down their noses at them as if they are trash. In the "land of plenty" and a nation claiming to be a Christian one this is obscene.
In this country we kill those who have committed the worst crimes, taking away from them any hope of redemption, something Christ died for. In a nation claiming to be a Christian one, this is obscene.
We send our men and women over seas and slap yellow ribbons on our cars and say how much we support the troops but when they come home disillusioned and completely broken, the knives come out and names like "traitor" are thrown around. We have tens of thousands of our veterans sick and dying from lack of care. For a country that claims to support our troops, and a nation that claims to be a Christian one, this is obscene.
In this country in certain states it's perfectly ok to turn someone away simply because they are gay or transgender, or deny them the right of loving commitment. In a Christian nation this is obscene. Why? "love thy neighbor" That one is straight from the mouth of the Redeemer of Mankind.
In this country we have millions of undocumented immigrants, who are treated as second class. Many of whom have come just looking for a better life. Way to "love your neighbor" America.
In this country when a young women gets pregnant and is unprepared for this and seeks an abortion, instead of seeing that she didn't get pregnant in the first place through proper sex education and effective birth control methods, those on the Christian right would force her and the child into poverty. If she gets an abortion she's called things like "baby killer" "sinner: and "w---e" In a Christian nation this is obscene.

We'll be here all day.
Here we go with the nauseating ignorance. What special rights for gays?
Everybody should be able to marry whomever they want to. Why only limit that to gays?
You're perfectly welcome to marry your boyfriend/girlfriend as well. By allowing anyone to marry, it finally ALLOWED same sex marriage, instead of restricting it to hetero couples.
No offense to you but I find it very unethical for people NOT acknowledging at least the basic facts and truth. We can't have any candid conversation if we refuse to acknowledge the basics.
Extreme Left: New Yorker, Slate, Daily Show, Guardian, NPR, NYT, MSNBC, PBS, BuzzFeed, BBC< Huffington Post Washington Post, Economicst, Politico, MSNBC, CNN, NBC, CBS, Google News, Bloomberg, ABC, USA Today, Yahoo News, WSJ
Right: Fox Extreme Right: Blaze, Glenn Beck Program if that even counts.
The Daily Show, really?! It's a comedy show for crying out loud. The show that leads into that is a show featuring a "curious perv." What is wrong with you??

Can a son marry a mother? Can one person marry more than one person?
