Despite espousing "christian values", why do most republicans lack empathy for others? Bill Maher covers this so well. Gay rights, health care, etc - a republican will only support them after they are personally affected by them.

BTW, there are plenty of people who are fiscally conservative, and who also don't care about someone else's sexual orientation, couldn't care less what type of marriage someone else wants to have, and who think the decisions a woman makes regarding her own body are hers alone.

In some cases there is a genuine lack of empathy, but often liberals believe this about conservatives simply because they don't have a good grasp of the issues or the true consequences of leftist policies.
Umm...Obamacare is kind of a disaster in case you hadn't noticed......it's a huge waste of other people's money.
Republicans are very generous. They're just practical and know their limits, rather than letting others exploit their generosity to no end. What's wrong with enjoying money that you work for?
