Stop that! You're challenging that user's open bigotry towards Southerners!

BTW, I don't believe the state should pass such laws which takes away local authority. I do not agree with NC not allowing the city to choose for itself.
North Carolina's Controversial 'Anti-LGBT' Bill Explained - ABC News

House Bill 2 declares that state law overrides all local ordinances concerning wages, employment and public accommodations.

Thus, the law now bars local municipalities from creating their own rules prohibiting discrimination in public places based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Though North Carolina does have a statewide nondiscrimination law, it does not include specific protections for LGBTQ people.

The law also directs all public schools, government agencies and public college campuses to require that multiple-occupancy bathrooms and changing facilities, such as locker rooms, be designated for use only by people based on their "biological sex" stated on their birth certificate. Transgender people can use the bathrooms and changing facilities that correspond to their gender identity only if they get the biological sex on their birth certificate changed.

Under the law, public institutions can still offer single-occupancy facilities.

I was referring to Charlottes new ordinance, not NC's law, and I want that ordinance not someone's explanation. I just can't locate it, and I'd like to see if it is like HERO.

bigotry -- stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own.

Way to be bigoted Paypal!!

End of the day, there's a lot more to this issue than just "discrimination". As a man, I might just want to gain free access to the women's restrooms, locker rooms and showers. Now if the liberals get their way, all I have to do is claim "I'm a woman trapped in a man's body!!" and you'll give me exactly what I want. Liberals are seriously underestimating how far some guys will go to feed their inner pervert!!

Can anyone offer up a way to separate the perverts from the genuinely transgendered? I can't think of anything.

Neither of those are the actual ordinance.

I guess you don't know much about laws or ordinances. You can't just show up to a city council meeting and say "Let's say we don't discriminate against gay people" and they vote on that oral idea. There must be an actual written legal document submitted that defines the proposed ordinance and covers things like enforcement, penalties and exemptions.

If anybody else understands this and could provide a link to the actual ordinance, I'd appreciate it.

You on the other hand, are a subject matter expert on how laws are written, yet can't figure out how to use Google.
