In other words, history is the statistic that shows that racism among whites is much more so than with other races.....yet....you do not accept this history as relevant. That is a case study in hypocrisy.....as note you zoomed in on protecting the image of whites by normalizing racism, but you ignored the rest of my response when I applied that logic to blacks.....because you have a vested interest in portraying blacks as atypical...ergo...inferior. That is your ulterior motive in all your responses.
WOW, that chip on your shoulder just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

You really need to get over what happened in the 17 and 18oos and start looking at NEWER history.

WHITES passed the Emancipation Proclamation.

WHITES passed the EQUAL RIGHTS ACT, etc.

Live in the present, NOT the past. It on;y makes you bitter.

Again, like I said... they're their own worst enemy. It's sad.

Ahhhhh....but why is not the practice called Ghanary or Beninery or Nigery as opposed to SLAVery, a term derived from SLAVIC people, who are white, and how they were treated by other whites. In truth, there was never a term in West African languages that mapped directly to the European meaning for the word SLAVE. In West African history, and I am sure there are exceptions to the rule, the Western term that best comports to the African phenomenon is "Prisoner", not slave. Slaves are what they became in the West, in Africa they were "Prisoners of war". In other words, "slavery" was a PUNISHMENT for transgressions. It was a consequence of war or crime. Every society has to have a system of punishment for transgression. Even the Bible offers hell as a punishment. In that respect, the prisoners we hold in Guantanamo, Cuba are considered "Slaves", because they are prisoner held as a result of war and the penal system in America is full of "slaves" for their criminal transgressions. What Africans did, and yes it was wrong, was traded such transgressors to Europeans for Items that they did not have. What you call "slavery" was no more than a benign tumor among Africans. It was the Arabs and Europeans who metastasized it into cancer.

Again, look at your history and examine why Europeans FLED your ancestral lands. Why were your ancestors the "tired and huddled masses yearning to be free" and coming to a new world to seek it? That speaks for itself. You had to come and get us......but your ancestors came here as an ESCAPE. Escape from what? You were running from yourselves because what YOU created, absent other races, resulted in the oppression and repression of your masses. You all had the gamut. Slaves, Indentures servants, peasants, surfs, you had people drawn and quartered, Thumb screws and other various instruments of torture practiced on your own peoples. See...http://list25.com/25-most-brutal-tor...-ever-devised/

You all were your own worst enemy until you banded together in hue to be others worst enemies who did not share that hue.

We can do this all day

If you want to talk about White slavery which certainly has existed, we can, but you've focused exclusively on Black slavery.

As such, Black slavery in Africa predates Black slavery in the U.S. by thousands of years, and still continues to this day.

Since your mind cannot process more than one sentence at a time, typically the first sentence, I will just provide each subsequent sentence as a rebuttal. Will that help?

Next Sentence: In truth, there was never a term in West African languages that mapped directly to the European meaning for the word SLAVE.

Slavery is practiced in the US today as well, as people are held captive against their will all the time and the US has the worlds largest prison population.

Note that my responses do not contain just one sentence. But if YOUR mentality needs to break it down as such, feel free.

Why are you now resorting to arguing about semantics when AFRICANS' ACTS of capturing other Africans and selling them into slavery thousands of years before the Atlantic slave trade or Black slavery in the Americas even existed, and STILL committing those ACTS to this day, is the actual issue?

As to current slavery in the U.S... I have repeatedly said that SOME are forced into tax slavery while others are not, and even worse, given all kinds of free stuff paid for by the tax slaves.

Because much is lost in translation. Slavery as an economic system, among non-Arab African (which AA descended from), was never widely practiced or employed, prior to Arab and European influences. Again, in West Africa slavery WAS A PUNISHMENT FOR TRANSGRESSION. Either war or crime. We punish people for the same thing in the US right now.....we just do not trade them, but people are indeed PROFITING OFF OF THEM. So when you say slavery existed in Africa for thousands of years prior to Europeans, what part of Africa are you talking about and what did this slavery look like.

Blacks were never given much of a plan after the Civil War. Many of them moved North, but were still treated like 2nd class citizens. The ones who stayed South were hired on as servants.

Today, the problem is less racism and more education and culture. The media makes it seem like everyone is racist, but I find that very far from the truth. If anything, all of these movements make matters worse. People see blacks becoming violent during protests. It definitely doesn't make matters any better.

The root of the problem is that blacks grow up in poverty without any positive influences. They end up getting on the wrong path around middle school and never take education seriously. It's a cycle that repeats.

The easiest way to stop the cycle of poverty, lack of education, and lack of positive influence (in any race) is with birth control. If you cannot afford to feed yourself, you have no business having kids. Leave having kids to people who can afford it and who are in a stable relationship.

This is explains why Scandinavian countries have very few social problems. The majority of their population is middle or upper income. People who had positive influences in their lives and who have an education end up raising children in a positive environment.
