Once child molesters have chosen their potential victims, they work hard at patiently developing relationships with them. Since this grooming process can sometimes go on for years, it is common for child molesters to cultivate many prospective victims at a time. A large number of predators believe that what they are doing is not wrong, and that being intimate with a child is actually “healthy” for the child. After extended molestation, children and preteens can actually grow attached to their offender and become jealous when the offender’s attention goes to others who are younger, once they have reached a certain age. Their entire lives have been colored by the abuse.

Things You Need to Know About Child Molesters - Abuse

Not everybody under the sun should be given the same right.

well,

The Environmental Protection Agency was forced to pay $55,000 to get an employee to retire because the EPA was unable to fire him, even though he was a convicted child molester who also imitated a police officer, officials testified Wednesday.

Article didn't say he was in jail or not. But once you became a convicted child molester, it is ridiculous to believe tax payers should pay 55,000 to this person. Why EPA was unable to fire him? Who is protecting other employees who have to sit next to this pervert?

If he was in jail they wouldnt have had to pay him 55,000. Job abandonment gets you fired.

Update: There are a couple of different versions of this article.

One of them says "work computer" and states that he was convicted before he got the job with the EPA, meaning he served his time and the incident in question with the computer happened before he worked for the EPA. One article states that he was fired for violating a probation agreement, which could mean he did anything as little as go out and have a drink at a bar.

He may have still had his job because this was a "bad press" firing. If he was forthcoming on his application, they cant fire him because they got bad press.

Obviously, you didn't watch the video or read the article.

Tax payers are paying for this pervert, because the agency couldn't fire him.

Too many stupid regulations to punish businesses. He deserves nothing but a regular beat up in jail. That is what he deserves.

Another stupid regulation to punish businesses. If a business cannot fire a pervert for whatever the reasons, there is something wrong, period.

of course it is debatable. Any rules, regulations, and laws can be changed.

It is very sad that no one can stop a convicted child molester from marrying a woman who has children, or marrying a woman and having their own children. If he wants to molest them in his own house and it never gets out, the child can be subjected to years of torture.

should there be a law to protect children? A child molester should be given the same right to reproduce or date single moms? I think not.

Maybe not very pc for me to say, but it is ridiculous to believe every person under the sun should be given equal rights.

This is what happens when you believe everybody under the sun has some sort of rights.
It is also what happens when federal employees are given the right to bargain collectively. You can thank President Kennedy for that.
