You don't think it's a big deal that someone can't visit the person they've lived with and loved for 30 years in the hospital b/c their state doesn't recognize their relationship?! Or is fighting for that just smoke and mirrors?
If you can't take care of the paperwork to allow it after 30 years, maybe a more responsible person should be going into the hospital room.

You should not have a right to force someone into a contract or to trespass on the property of another.

No, they do not. Democrats are constantly placing new infringements on the economic and property rights of damn near all Americans.
Keep telling yourself that while ignoring that Republicans actively fight against low-wage workers earning enough to not need welfare, poor people getting access to healthcare, and middle-class workers getting fairly compensated for 40+ hour workweeks.
