In addition, all of CD could debate until the cows come home how much influence the POTUS or Congress...no matter which party controls either....has on the metrics in the snapshot you posted.

Payroll = jobs filled, not positions created.


For example. Grocery store has 6 open positions in May, they fill 5 of them. that 6th job was only created in May as the grocery store has decided to do home deliveries too.


Only the new delivery job is counted in the 38,000 number, not the 5 other positions filled.

Other reasons, sure, but they make up a large chunk of those who are leaving. in about 6 years, the rate is going to be about 2/1 when it comes to them dropping out and millennials joining.

the participation rate is going to bottom out at around 54% in 2022
