How can you compare India to the United States? They could elect the ice cream man leader and it wouldn't make any difference to anyone.

Amen.

Quality over quantity is what's important here.

There is no reason at all to support someone solely because they're a woman.

Somehow your response doesn't convince me that you are quite ready for a female president.
It "has to do" with who's running.

You can't cast a vote for a woman if there's not one nominated, and just because Hillary got nominated is no reason to vote for her "to make history".

The woman is a power hungry, cackling shrew. If she were a man, she wouldn't have stood a chance.

Ha!

Makes perfect sense, that must be why she's so fond of pantsuits.

You(plural) never said Trump was "power hungry"-- that is not said about men - our politics have been based on the good "ole boys club" for years- now the apple cart is tipping- at the top - and you (pl) all don't like it-- one more step for womanhood. I am happy it is happening during my lifetime- but Hillary has experience. Whether she is good or not at being a president - time will tell, but no different than any other president. We get good and bad- there is no perfect.
You say don't not vote for her because she is a women, I say do not judge, because she is one either.

Since women make up over half the population I would say their are greater forces at work. The same arguments you're making are similar to executive boards at fortune 500 companies. The issue isn't that you should hire or elect a woman based on gender, the question is one of simple numbers, you would have to believe that only men are capable.
Why does the NBA have about a 1% Hispanic player rate?

I think a lot of it is the heavy Christian influence. In the New Testament the ideal woman is meek and submissive to her husband, not even being allowed to ask questions in church. I know some very conservative Christians that think it is sinful for a woman to be in politics.
