"Brumby then used his right hand, which was holding the handgun, in an attempt to remove the casing. While doing so, he inadvertently pointed the firearm directly behind him and accidently fired,"

Improper use of a firearm.

We need to ban fathers...

Serious note, that was stupid of him. He should have put the gun down before going to fix his shirt.

Father stabs son...

Father stabs son to death | The Trinidad Guardian Newspaper

Horrific.

I don't understand the perverse pleasure liberals get from posting articles like this. It's sick. There is a family grieving and they make it a matter of political points. Meanwhile in the ghettos of Chicago another black kid just died. Not a peep.

Yep, the father should have practiced safety and removed the shell with his empty left hand. I still feel for the father that one mental relapse he will carry around for the rest of his life.

I took a shooting class about three years ago, supposedly full of experienced gun owners. After the written portion of the class, the instructor took us all to an outdoor shooting range. One of the students in the class who was shooting three feet from me, turned to talk to me holding a Glock with a full clip and began waving the gun around while talking with his hands and his finger on the trigger. I freaked. Screamed at him him to put the gun down immediately. One of my scariest moments.

Even experienced gun owners can be unsafe and stupid with a gun.

I feel great sadness for this father. His life and his family's life will be forever changed by one split second as it can for any of us.
