If people want to be in a country and to be NGOs, why should it be a problem to openly state who they represent?

"Meanwhile, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon also reacted negatively to the new law on Tuesday, in a speech he delivered to the UN Security Council.

“I am concerned by Israel's passage of the so-called 'NGO Transparency Law' which contributes to a climate in which the activities of human rights organizations are increasingly delegitimized,” he said in the remarks which dealt with the situation in the Middle East."

Hmm! I wonder which human rights organizations he's referring to?

if NGO stands for NON GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION, then why is the EU and the UN so appalled that anyone would want to know if said organizations are funded by foreign governments?

Sounds to me like the EU has something to worry about. I wonder why!

Transparency works well for the EU when they want to boycott Israeli products. but they don't want their funding of NGO's exposed.

interesting, and hypocritical.
