It does not because on the video the cop says I TOLD HIM NOT TO GO FOR IT!!
Actually, he said "I told him not to reach for it," which I construed as meaning his license because she immediately said "you told him to get his ID sir, you told him to get his driver's license."
But then immediately after he said that, he said something that sounded like either "I told him to get his hand out" or "I told him to get his hand off it." If he said "out," that looks worse for the officer, but if he said "off it," that would support the possibility that Castile was reaching for a gun.
At any rate, do we even know for sure that Castile was carrying a gun? I haven't seen anything confirming it. We know he had a permit, and up until today we thought we knew that he told the officer he was carrying one, but now do we even know whether he was?
Yes of course that would be the claim of the lawyer of an officer who shot a licensed carrier. But that claim would be made under any circumstances. It is boiler plate.
How do you feel about alcohol? I would agree with you if it was crack or meth, but marijuana isn't even as bad as alcohol. It's even legal in some states. Our last three presidents have smoked pot at some point in their lives.
Sorry, but I think parents who smoke pot in front of their kids are very irresponsible. What kind of message does that send? Not to mention what it does to them when they're in close quarters.
Most of the people I know drank differently when their kids were still at home. By that I mean, they didn't get drunk, and one of the parents was always the designated driver.
Not the same for most people since drugs are illegal in most states.
She probably has an IQ of about 60. She admitted on video to having illegal drugs in the car with a child. Why they don't take that child away from her just on that basis alone I have no idea.
1. If you have actual evidence of her IQ, provide it. Otherwise, that's slander.
2. If all parents who smoked pot had their children taken away, what a mess this country would have on its hands. But of course, that would be if there is truly equal justice under the law.
