Alright, I was talking with a friend about a few things, and the thought of "Where does all of our waste go" came up.

Many people have the "Not in my backyard" idea when it comes to many things.... especially Dumps. All of the chemicals, trash, and other god-knows-what being put together in one heep to fester and rot.

Honestly, who'd want a Dump as a backyard accessory?

I, for one, am actually proud of the big dump near my place. It is the picture of perfection - showing that even trash can be fun. What I'm talking about, is my favorite park of all time. Mt. Trashmore

As the name suggests, it's made of trash. What used to be a place to dump trash has been covered, cultivated, and turned into a Park for all to enjoy. There's marked off sidewalk for runners, fisherman, birds galore, a HUGE wooden playground, a smaller playground for younger kids, skate park, and more..

Best part, the success of this Disposal of Waste has actually increased the value of the houses near it.

Since every dump cannot be turned into a playground... what should America (and the world) do with all of its garbage? Dumps are a sad sight - and with an increase in population, the amount is becoming quite large.

What should we do with our trash?

Throw it all in the Coral Reef, along with some nuclear waste for good measure. Damned fish.

kuharai - You have asked the billion(s) dollar question.

Unfortunately trash cannot just go away so I suggest first "get all the good out of it", recycle as much as possible, burn the combustables for energy and landfill the rest into abandoned coal mines with methane recovery for electric generation.

Just wait until the three-headed fish grow legs and come after us..... "Planet of the Fish"

I've always wondered the possibility of sending our trash to someplace like the Sun or Venus - where it will be burned into nothingness.
