They are predicting 3.5M people will be infected in Puerto Rico within the year and up to 80% over time. Poor economy, lack of health care, hot wet climate, schools and homes without screens, this is a recipe for disaster. Just a matter of time before it comes here. The devastation to families and the burden to a poor health care system will be enormous through out South/Central America.
We will see the results in October.

The outbreak is expected to be worse here than anywhere else in the country. The island, a warm, wet paradise veined with gritty poverty, is the ideal environment for the mosquitoes carrying the virus. The landscape is littered with abandoned houses and discarded tires that are perfect breeding grounds for the insects. Some homes and schools lack window screens and air-conditioning, exposing residents to almost constant bites.
Sounds a bit like the sky is falling as getting the Zika virus is like getting a cold it only becomes a problem to some pregnant females who may give birth to a child with birth defects.
The problem is that they are behind the curve as was the case in Brazil, there will be thousands of unsuspecting women carrying that will produce children with birth defects.
Satan's little thang while God has lifted His vail of protection from a misbehaving creation (Harbinger)
with a continued series ahead strap in the ride will be weird.
From what I understand the Zikas has been around for a long time but never suspected to cause birth defects. So what's new? Now we have governments wanting to reduce world population. Now we have governments pushing all kinds of vaccines and we have birth defects happening. And then they say, "Hey, it's the Zika, so stop having kids right now so it won't get you." Just a thought.
The epidemic in Brazil was subsequent to the World Cup, more people from other countries seems like an easy way to spread the disease. I have not seen the impact as severe in other countries.
They still aren't sure if this is spread through sexual contact.

Brazil increased their pesticide use and went to stronger pesticides.
Brazil is the world's largest consumer of pesticides.
this happens every so often. We live with the enemies - I am so sorry for the babies - as a g-ma of a S/N child -ts heart breaking- but seems sex is the main carrier now? as for PR our step child-- we can do better than that
Zika, ISIS, Ebola, global warming, aieeeee!!!!!!! I'll stick to worrying about GMO, unchecked illegal immigration and the scary possibility of our first hag POTUS.
