That's what many people still don't get. Business is transitioning to a new physical dimension (the World Wide Web), any business who can dominate this new dimension is going to be highly profitable.
The new way of business is now over the Net, not in physical form. More people bank online than go to branches. More people buy things online than at the local mall. The future of commerce is here, and it is abstract and digital.
That's why statement like the one above is highly ignorant. The Internet connects the entire world (literally!) and Facebook is monopolizing the Internet, and by default the world! Imagine being the only social company for the entire world! That's why FB are worth so much more than your AT&T or whatever business that doesn't have a presence worldwide and is not a monopoly.

How does the national debt affects business?? Answer: Not much. That's why businesses continues to have record profit despite the national debt.
Debt in and of itself is neither good nor bad, it's how you use the debt that matters. We've been going into debt to fuel our economy which is exactly how you're supposed to do coming out of the Great Recession and it worked!

This thread is rich. When the economy is bad the LeftNuts say Presidents don't control the economy, when it is "supposedly" good they say it is because of his policies. They say profit driven big business is all the evil and then love to point to their profits to say the economy is doing so well. What an INSANE bunch of hypocrites.
The stock market has been good since Brexit, which OZero opposed. OZero couldn't run a profitable Kool-Aid stand.

Is it a coincident that it goes up when Trump's number goes down? A future without Trump as the POTUS is one where the stock market likes.
