Don't forget the years Bill Clinton was in , the talk was that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and the inspectors were no longer allowed to check for those weapons.. Clinton administration stated over and over that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and had to be taken out.
Just a few quotes. there were many more.
Democrat Quotes on Iraq
Weapons of Mass Destruction
Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade and much of his nation's wealth not on providing for the Iraqi people but on developing nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them." -- President Bill Clinton (State of the Union Address), Jan. 27, 1998
"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line." --President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998
"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." --President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998
Can you dig up a quote from Bill Clinton saying Iraq has weapons of mass destruction?
The quotes you referenced were basically to try to scare Hussein. I don't recall Clinton proclaiming that Iraq had WMDs...
In the interest of precision, that's a press nickname. The actual name was the "Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002" or AUMF, and it authorized the President to make the decision to use military force if needed.
Who cares if they had WMDs. Many countries have WMDs including nukes, gas and biological weapons in their possession including the US, China, North Korea, Russia etc are you going to invade every one of them? The only legitimate reason to invade Iraq was if Iraq used those weapons on AMERICAN CITIZENS on US soil. 1) they never used those weapons against us or even had them in their possession and 2) so what if they did have them? Unless they have a modern blue water navy and long range air force to deliver those weapons it poses a zero threat to anyone in the west.

And with Fox news <spat> ready to carry the administration's water, a dozen rifle bullets dipped in Windex could have been spun into vindication.
And Hillary played a large role in disseminating the pro-war propaganda. The Bush admin had plenty of help from Fox News, the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN as well as democrats like Hillary Clinton in spreading its propaganda and lies.
The job of the congress is look at the facts, not fall for the lamest and transparent propaganda. Polling shows about half of Americans were opposed to the IWR at the time. And yet their leaders voted in favor of it. What is the purpose of having leaders that are dumber than the average citizen? The answer is they are not dumb, just evil.

You're preaching to the choir - I tried like hell to convince people that the Iraq War was a fool's errand. Turns out you can't dissuade people once they've decided that they really, really want to shove their genitals in the garbage compactor.

Was it that high? Honest question. Because it sure as all out felt as if the populace had a bad case of War Fever.

Could be both. Many were just cowards, going along to get along and thinking it couldn't be that bad. The Gulf War had left people, influential people too, with the impression that war could be fought fast, easy and cheap.
Hispanics are expected to be a majority in 2050. So how long will it take Muslims to be the new majority?

I think it is a real shame that the world is losing its personal identity and the US is a prime example of that. We have long been the great melting pot of the world and we have been enriched by immigrants (legal) from all over the world but that was when people wanted to assimilate. Today immigrants don't even need to learn english because the goverment is giving them everything they need. If you want to get a drivers license you can take it in spanish. If you need information press 2 for spanish.
There is no reason for them to assimilate and this goes for muslims too. There will come a time when they become a majority in an area and vote one of their own into power.
The biggest problem is not muslims but their faith that considers any non muslim an infidel. When they gain political power will they be able to change laws and change America?
It's time to stop importing any more people in general.
There are already more than enough Americans who need work.
