I don't know what conservative whites as a group think, but I do see that people sharing a common view tend to support one another.

Again for the millionth time, black conservatives and their white cohorts LOVE to say that liberal blacks are "on the plantation," and I know damn well that you probably say it too.
Do they have a right to that opinion?

No functioning adult needs to be told who to vote for.
When 90% or more of a particular racial group votes for the party that has done more damage to that same racial group than any other you are looking at a sheep herding situation.

We do not live in a nation where stating your political beliefs takes courage.

Only to a certain degree, but NEVER completely.

Sure we do, especially if you're black.

Actually, i have more of a problem with your words than his, and i highlighted it in your post:

1. The "why blacks should not vote Democrat" line is typical white paternalism at its finest. Blacks should vote for whomever the hell we feel like voting for, and you're in no position to say who that is in any given election. Even the writer of the piece doesn't suggest that, and he's BLACK!!!

2. Voting for the Republican Party isn't courageous nor does it connote that one has any particular great virtues. If anything, it often implies the opposite. Of course, i'm quite happy that you've affirmed my belief that white conservatives think that black Republicans are some special class of African American that should be held up as some shining example of what your model kneegrow should look like. That's why you guys put black Republicans at the head of the line no matter how silly they are.

Moreover, in the title of your thread, you imply that he might get shot for admitting that he's a Republican. I mean really...

Wanna give us some examples of black Republicans getting shot just because they're Republicans?

I swear, you folks are a trip.

If that's true then surely you'll admit that the Democrat refrain that poor whites who vote Republican are 'voting against their own interests' is equally paternal. Right? Democrats say it all the time.

Ever seen a conservative speak at a college campus? Half the time, if they get to speak at all, they have to dodge stuff thrown at them by the tolerant, diverse, free speech Stalinist students.

Who was the last black man killed for being a Republican?

Why would this guy be fired or shot? How stupid.

I'm sure most black people couldn't care less about this guy's opinion, because he's entitled to it and it doesn't effect them. The only people who care are Republicans who are obsessed with anything black and foam at the mouth like a rabid dog whenever a minority agrees with them politically.
