Default Communism...the scourge that is going away...

Communism...the scourge that is finally going away...thank GOD....

..but will leave nasty scars forever....like all the other dictatorial regimes and mindsets before....

In the words of a very wise old man I met in Eastern Europe..

..."there are three things you MUST remember about the communists..."

..."do not trust them...do not trust them...and do NOT trust them..."

Default Star Trek and Communism

Hi Greatday

If you look at old episodes of Star Trek, The Next Generation, you see that way way way in the future people are supposed to have all their needs supplied by what did the call those things? oh.. replicators.

If technology ever advances so far and all our needs are met, health, food shelter and more, then that is when some type of communism works.

There was even an episode in the original Star Trek where some dying people from 29th Century Earth were in suspended animation and Captain Kirk found them and Bones brought back and cured them. One guy was really rich, but when he found out you didn't need money anymore, he was all bummed out.

It works better, IMO. I've lived quite well even when I was one of the blue collar proles in the private sector.

I live very well now even though I'm not part of any ruling or people managing apparatus.

Generally speaking, among intelligent people, when you don't know something you do research in order to find out. It is clear from the posts on this thread that some posters know little to nothing at all about communism or socialism.

Here is a place where people can go to find out about communism and socialism: Marxists Internet Archive

The same could be said about capitalist politicians.
Thru the centuries humans have failed to devise a system that benefits society.

Becuase such is not achieveable. Not everyone is born with an innate consciousness of others and what is right and wrong. If that were the case, then precious little would probably go wrong with any system. Cheaters, Stealers, Haters, Criminals, Violent psychopaths and other sucm will be born and bred in every society. Even getting away from that, the most basic law of survival is to do for yourself. You would be hard pressed to find a mammal that doesn't hold true to the law of "Kill or be killed". People have needed to innovate and survive on their own for millenia and frankly have done quite well. Socialism only serves to bring people down to the most base level in order to achieve "equality". True equality means boiling society down to it's least common demoninator, which is not a world I would want to live in.

Humans are social animals. We have survived and prospered as a species only because of our collective natures. We think it is a terrible punishment to be isolated from the group, or to be placed in solitary confinement. Even given a vast expanse of territory to occupy, humans will choose to live in clusters. Socialism is the only way that we want to live or that we can survive. It has been true of the species since long before we were our current species, and it is true today. We all are born, live, and die as socialists. Even those who succumb to the illusion of themselves as individualists...

That's funny. Just because we are social, doesn't mean that there aren't hierarchies or some individuals do better than others. If you are trying to use nature to justify socialism you are pretty ignorant, there are plenty of strict hierarchies in nature, closer to feudalism and tribalism than socialism.

Also, socialism is a long dead and unworkable theory. I find that anyone still believes in that garbage to be hilarious.
