The best political talk show on TV though I always thought Clift was a bit too much of a blind partisan. I love Pat even when I disagree with him.

Eleanor looks a bit worn.

Never agreed with him much, but really enjoyed the show. Sad to see him gone.

I loved the McLaughlin Group, a reasonable discussion by several very smart commentators with very different points of view without vitriol and hate. No longer possible. Hate and vitriol, talking over one another, personal attacks are necessary for ratings.

Too bad he couldn't hold out until Thanksgiving. Then we could have heard "gobble gobble" one more time.

Ye, he was real sick lately. His voice was hoarse.
The show lost Jack Germond, Robert Novak.
Well, Bye, Bye, old friend.

I was afraid this thread was about this guy...
I thought that at first also, but then considered what forum I was in.

Eleanor ALWAYS looked worn. I didn't even know they show still ran. I used to watch it regularly in the 80s an d90s but somehow it fell off my radar. I think it was the original "panel" that is so copied now. May be that's why it lost some of its spark.
