It says nothing in that article about the religious disposition of the attacker. He was a frat boy under the influence of bath salts. Nothing at all to do with Christianity

American Jews have been long time Democratic Party supporters. Democratic Party now supports Muslims and Islam. And Democrats wonder why they're losing support among Jews.
Liberals are soon going to get their dream of ridding Europe of Jews....something Hitler could not even do.
OK, so why would Liberals want to rid Europe of Jews? As I recall, Socialists & Communists & intellectuals & priests & writers & poets & novelists & journalists & professors & homosexuals & Gypsies - all kinds of people were persecuted by the Nazis (in the 1930s & through WWII) right along with the Jews. In many ways, Judaism invented modern Western Civilization - so when did Liberals turn upon Judaism?
That dream belonged to the Nazis, & before that (& after that) to all kinds of anti-Semitic movements & causes & what-have-you. The Liberals can perhaps be accused of wanting to integrate Jews to such an extent into their respective countries that Jews wouldn't feel the need to stand apart from their nationality. But that's very different from wanting to expel or destroy the Jewish population.

Democratic Party now supports Muslims and Islam. Not just Muslim individuals, but also Islam? Is that in the Democratic Party platform now? I think you're overgeneralizing there - the Democratic Party built up a political coalition of unions, blue collar, immigrants (mostly European, but also others), educators, health, social workers, & urban population centers. That coalition coalesced around the Great Depression, & has been successful in elections. The core belief there is that people who wish to participate in the political process in the US can do so - if they put in the work, effort, learn the basics of working & participating in the political & economic spheres. If members of any given community - say the jihadists among the Islamic community, for instance - harbor intense political rage against the government & economic & social arrangements in the US, they are not likely to ever fit in well with the population @ large, no matter how long nor how successful they may be in this society.
That's a hard conundrum for our original stance in the World: E pluribus unum. But the pluribus have to want to coalesce & become part of the unum - no one can do it for them. & so the jihadists pose a definitional problem for liberal Western societies - they don't want to play well, they don't want to get along, they are very much opposed - as a matter of core belief - to practically every social & political & economic belief that makes up the foundation of Western societies.
Once we get over the shock of finding people who do not want to participate in any way, shape or form with the benefits of Western society, we can move on to contain them & if necessary, expel them from our secular paradise. I think we should leave the door open a crack - their children or grandchildren may wish to revisit that decision - but only a crack.
I think there's still a Liberal & moderate Jewish political component in the US, & has been all along, during the Jewish diaspora in the West & in the US. As a group, their numbers are falling - but that's true of Judaism as a whole in the US, & possibly in the West, as well (& of purely European ethnic populations even in Europe, too). Their numbers in the US may fall below replacement rate - in which case, they'll be missed.
Did anyone really think that the Palestinians running around stabbing Jews in Israel wasn't going to catch on in other parts of the world?
