Apple CEO Tim Cook Hosting Fundraiser for Hillary Clinton

Steve Jobs may have had his political preference but never uttered it so much as Tim Cook who already took money out of the GOP convention.

We have seen many people now no longer buying Apple products and one of my kids will still buy them but another one decided to choose the next Samsung phone over an Iphone.

In our family it already caused Apple to loose out of buying an Iphone and a replacement for the IPAD we wanted to buy and we bought a different one. I have heard from others doing the same while of course many will still buy their products.

We didn't care until Tm Cook openly made his announcement about the GOP convention and after the fundraising for Hillary we decided we can make our own decision.

I'm not asking for a boycott as I believe in free markets but why are CEO's so open about their political preference and not like it was back in the days.

It is strange, I agree, It is a risky business move if you think about it, you potentially **** off a significant portion of the population with one statement, one backing of a candidate.

But perhaps there is more to gain.

Tim Cook is the man over at Apple and he's openly gay. The Republicans (Mike Pence to be exact) have tried to block gay rights. Tim has decided to speak out about it using his platform as CEO to raise awareness. The iPhone 7 comes out in about a month. I will bet your whole paycheck that there will be lines wrapped around the corner for it. Apple is untouchable. Republicans love their products too. I have never seen anyone waiting in line for a Samsung product.

Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg is in the same boat as Tim Cook.
